KNOSK 25Cents A Day Charity Secondary School to Host Mountaintop Fellow
Kuje, Nigeria, August 15, 2023 – KNOSK School, an education charity dedicated to providing quality secondary school education to underserved children in Abuja, is delighted to announce that it will be hosting a Fellow in partnership with Mountaintop, a US-based nonprofit. As a host organization, KNOSK School was selected from a highly competitive candidate pool due to its demonstrated impact, innovative model, and trusted leadership.
The Mountaintop fellowship program provides Fellows with a paid, one-year, full-time service experience, enabling them to contribute to their home communities' development by working on critical challenges alongside high-impact locally-led NGOs, government agencies, and social ventures. Mountaintop amplifies Fellows’ potential for impact by providing a world class experience including mentorship, grants, a lifelong community of inspiring peers, and a two week leadership institute hosted in Cambridge, USA at Harvard University’s Edmond & Lily Safra Center for Ethics.
Kingsley Bangwell, Co-Founder of KNOSK School, expressed his excitement about the partnership and shared more about his work: “Out of school children are not out of capacity to learn and increase productivity. Providing education to children from poorest households is a human right, you can bring hope by becoming an education ambassador today.”
Mountaintop Founder and CEO Reed Shafer-Ray emphasized Mountaintop’s mission, stating, "In the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., whose "Mountaintop" speech called for people everywhere to rise up as leaders to create a better world, Mountaintop cultivates locally rooted moral leadership, supports community self-reliance, and strengthens local institutions in places worldwide where success too often means leaving and not coming back. In line with that mission, we could not be more proud to partner with KNOSK School as a Mountaintop Fellowship host.
